On this week’s episode of Lady Journey Katie and Sarah interview Kaneez Surka. Kaneez and Sarah bond over their shared South African heritage and Kaneez tells us all about her recent international move and decorating a new apartment from scratch.
Kaneez Surka
Kaneez Surka is a producer, actor, and comedian from India, born and raised in South Africa.
She has produced and performed in her Netflix Special, ‘Ladies Up’, Netflix’s ‘Comedy Premium League,’ and Amazon Prime Video’s Improv specials, ‘Something From Nothing’ and ‘Improv All Stars – Games Night.’
Kaneez is also known for her comedic acting. Her short film, ‘The Shaila(s)’ was selected for the Voot Select Film Festival.
Kaneez currently resides in New York City.

- If you’re decorating an apartment from scratch, start with one major piece and go from there. Kaneez built her NYC apartment around a gold framed floor mirror.
- Sell your furniture, move with a suitcase and have your friends mail your must haves.
- Find a place that you love in your new city, like a coffee shop, and make it your special space.
