All Inclusive Pros and Cons

Katie stayed at Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica for her friends wedding. Highly recommend! Katie shares some of the best things about this resort.

  • All inclusive truly feels luxurious
  • No mental real estate on meal planning because there’s tons of options for picky eaters
  • Great service
  • Activities are included
  • Adults could drop off kids at an activity center

But, Katie also goes over a few cons that may make you want to reconsider spending your entire vacation at an all inclusive resort

  • Had to pay a lot extra for an excursions to get off the resort
  • Didn’t get a true feel for the local culture
  • Drinks were a little weak, but this may also be a pro if you’re a lightweight

Family Vacation Planning Tips

Sarah gives some tips for planning a family vacation with a big group.

  • If you’re going to rent a car, get a big van, rather than separate cars
  • Get a cheap air bnb, then have lunch at a fancier resort
